history: Forty years before the beginning of the series, a terrible disaster struck the world. The world became a vast desert wasteland and everyone left alive - even androids - were without their memories. At the time the series starts, the only civilization that's left is Paradigm City, a sprawling metropolis separated by geodesic domes and controlled entirely by the Paradigm Corporation.
Dorothy is first introduced as Dorothy Soldano, the kidnapped daughter of the scientist Miguel Soldano. Roger Smith, Paradigm City's top Negotiator, is hired by Dr. Soldano to exchange a ransom for Dorothy. However, it's soon revealed that Dorothy is actually an android constructed by Soldano for a man named Timothy Wayneright, who sought to replace his (presumed dead) daughter Dorothy.
personality: On the surface, Dorothy is a rather emotionless girl. She never visibly shows emotion, though she is prone to dry, sarcastic quips when the situation is good for it. However, Dorothy is an ever-adapting android, and the more time she spends with humans the more she picks up on emotions. She's capable of sadness, of jealousy, of exasperation. Someone who doesn't know her very well won't really pick up on her ability to emote without changing her facial expressions.
But Dorothy resembles a human girl of her physical age quite a lot. She can be defiant in her own way. Roger demands that everyone in his house wear black; Dorothy subverts this by wearing an extremely dark red dress. She constantly challenges Roger, playing loud, high tempo piano music when she thinks he's slept in too long. She also struggles with her own identity as an android. Humans constantly say she can't feel any emotions, and sometimes this makes Dorothy question herself, even though she can see evidence of other androids feeling emotion as well.
abilities/powers: Dorothy is much stronger than a human, able to leap up to a dozen feet in the air from a standing position and knock down walls easily. She can move and run much faster than a human (up to 20mph easily is my best guess) and has excellent balance and coordination - easily able to stand on the railing of a windy balcony without moving and able to steer a car with her foot while on its hood. Dorothy can pass as a human at first glance, but under scrutiny she won't completely pass as a human. Her movements are much more fluid and she can rotate most of her connecting joints a complete 360 degrees.
As an android, she has no need to eat or breathe, though she apparently can consume food (but she has no sense of taste). Her hair ribbon hides an iluminated CD drive that she uses as a handy light at times. Dorothy is also a skilled singer and pianist (though any skilled player will notice she is very technical and hardly ever strays from the written music).
first person sample: If you want a good night's sleep, Roger Smith, you should go to sleep at night.
third person sample: Log format, usually, in third person past tense. This should show the character's thought process in addition to their voice. At least 200 words.
**RP samples from previous games may be linked.
case no: No preference!
